III Corps hosts Christmas tree-lighting ceremony

FORT HOOD, Texas -- III Corps and Fort Hood officials will host a tree-lighting ceremony at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 11 at the flagpole of the III Corps Headquarters.

Brig. Gen. Clark Lemasters, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) commander, will preside over the ceremony.

He will be joined by the Smith Middle School Choir, Fort Hood Family housing children's choir and the 1st Cavalry Division Band.

Children and parents can have their free photo taken with Santa and have it printed on the spot, giving everyone something special to take away from the event.

Media who plan to cover the ceremony must register here. The gate time for the event is 4:30 p.m. Media should report to the south-side parking lot of the visitor's center.
