More than 7,000 boots honoring service members who lost their lives since Sept. 11, 2001, sit in rows on Sadowski Field, in front of III Corps Headquarters.
The display, which began at Fort Hood in 2014, honors veterans from all service branches and locations who passed away from any cause.
