FORT HOOD, Texas – The Intrepid Spirit Center (ISC) will host its annual open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

Intrepid Spirit Center providers will be demonstrating various services, including biofeedback and art and music therapy. Several community agencies and organizations will be on hand to discuss services and opportunities within the greater central Texas community. Tours of the facility also will be available.

The open house is held in conjunction with National Brain Injury Awareness Month, a month-long awareness highlighting brain injury research that help improve and maintain the quality of life for those living with a brain injury. This year’s theme is Advancing TBI care through enhanced technology.

The ISC provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary and holistic approach to treating Soldiers with Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and other conditions. The center brings together doctors, nurse case managers, as well as therapists, social workers and psychologists who focus on Soldier recovery and, ultimately, a return to duty.

Media interested in should RSVP with CRDAMC Public Affairs at (254) 553-6218 or (254) 338-6087. Gate time for media will be 10:30 a.m. March 22.
