FORT HOOD, Texas – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center’s Equal Opportunity Office along with III Corps and Fort Hood’s EOO, is hosting its annual Days of remembrance observance at 1 p.m. April 13 at Club Hood.

Sylvia Gutmann, Holocaust survivor, will serve as the guest speaker for the observance. Gutmann, who at the age of three, was imprisoned at several French Jewish internment camps. While both her mother and father were murdered at Auschwitz, Sylvia and her two sisters were eventually smuggled out of France into Switzerland. She lost nearly 40 family members as a result of the holocaust.

Gregg Philipson, former commissioner to the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission, will show a special presentation of artifacts from the Gregg and Michelle Philipson collection and archives.
