1st Cav welcomes new Deputy Division Commanders in patch ceremony

WHAT: Media representatives are invited to observe.

WHEN:  9 a.m. July 7. All media will meet at the Fort Hood Visitor's Center at 7:45 a.m.

WHERE: Cooper Field, Fort Hood, Texas

WHY: Fort Hood and the First Cavalry Division are proud to welcome Brig. Gen. Mark C. Schwartz and Col. JP McGee to the First Team in a patch ceremony at Cooper Field Tuesday, July 7 at 9 a.m. Brig. Gen. Schwartz is taking over as the Deputy Commanding General for Maneuver while Col. McGee will be the Deputy Commander for Support.

            The ceremony, presided over by division commander Maj. Gen. Michael Bills, will feature representative units from every battalion-sized element within the division, music from the First Team Band, and a formal review of the troops conducted on horseback.
