2nd Annual Brave Rifles 5k/10k in Salado

The 3d Cavalry Association will hold the 2nd Annual Brave Riles 5k/10k Run May 18 from 6 a.m. - 12 p.m. in Salado, TX.

The first Brave Rifles 5k/10k Run was held last year on Fort Hood and attracted 1,000 military and civilian runners from the Central Texas area. This year the 3d Cavalry Association is partnering with the Village of Salado to attract even more runners.

The event is open to the public and features 5k and 10k distances in the following categories: running, walking, and wheel-chair/hand cycle. Pets and strollers are also welcome. Other attractions include live music, a rock-climbing wall, a bouncy house, as well as other kid's activities at no extra cost.  Local vendors will also be on site offering food and other concessions.

The 3d Cavalry Association is registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Soldiers and Family members of the 3d Cavalry Regiment.
