3rd Cavalry Regiment receives, christens first Strykers
FORT HOOD, Texas -- The 3rd Cavalry Regiment is scheduled to host a Stryker Arrival Ceremony and champagne christening at 10 a.m. April 2 at the Fort Hood Rail Yard.
The event will commemorate the arrival of 150 Stryker vehicles to Fort Hood. The 3rd Cavalry Regiment is the last scheduled unit in the Army to transform to a Stryker brigade combat team, bringing the Army’s newest warfighting capabilities into the battlefields of the future.
