FORT HOOD, Texas—Braving winter-like temperatures, Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center staff and their family members and friends went as far as they could go in 75 minutes for the “Embrace Your Voice” run/walk as part of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month April 7 here.

Each April, civilian and military communities throughout the globe observe SAAPM to raise awareness, prevent sexual violence and provide essential support to survivors.

The run/walk was one of several training events planned by the CRDAMC SHARP office during April. CRDAMC’s SAAPM Observance and Denim Remembrance presentation is scheduled for April 25, 3-4 p.m. in the hospital’s first floor atrium.
