Twenty minutes before Rockin’ Fest was set to kick off Saturday at the Bronco Youth Center, Mother Nature was still sending down a steady stream of rain, but by the official 11 a.m. kick-off, the skies over Fort Hood had cleared and the fest was on and in full swing. Following the completion of the Remembrance 5K Run/Walk early Saturday morning, the Great Place was pelted with a steady downpour for nearly 90 minutes. The rain forced several inflatables to remain uninflated outside the youth center, but festival-goers still had a lot of activities to check out in the center.
