Fort Hood host the traditional Thanksgiving meal competition
FORT HOOD, Texas -- To promote esprit de corps with Soldiers, family members and guests, Fort Hood will celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday meal on Nov. 23.
The 407th Army Field Support Brigade Installation Food Service Team in conjunction with III Corps personnel will host the traditional Thanksgiving meal competition to recognize dining facilities for their outstanding performance in support of the traditional holiday meal.
Six Fort Hood dining facilities will be serving their traditional Thanksgiving meal. Lunch begins at 11 a.m., and continues through 3 p.m. at the five dining facilities on main post, and 2 p.m. at the Always Ready DFAC on West Fort Hood.
The following DFACs will be serving the traditional meal: Ironhorse, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Freeman Cafe, Patriot Inn, Theodore Roosevelt and Always Ready.
Holiday meal rates are: Standard Rate (Soldiers and civilians) - $9.05, and a discount rate limited to immediate family members of E4 and below Soldiers - $6.80.
