USO Fort Hood RP/6 Celebrates Anniversary

FORT HOOD, Texas -- Fort Hood's USO RP/6 site is celebrating it's first year in operation with a cake cutting ceremony1-4 p.m. Nov. 23 at building 44 here.

USO Fort Hood RP/6 site is the newest program on Fort Hood offering personalized support to help Soldiers and their families create a plan for life after military service. 

Additionally, RP/6 locations are co-located with USO Centers across the country and their RP/6 scouts connects transitioning families with local and national resources needed to succeed in local communities. 

The USO strengthens America’s service members by keeping them connected to their family, home and country throughout their service to the troops and their families millions of times each year at hundreds of places worldwide, providing a touch of home through centers at airports and military bases, top quality entertainment and innovative programs and services.   The USO provides critical support to those in need, including forward-deployed troops and their families, wounded warriors and their families and the families of the fallen.
