Death of a Fort Hood Soldier

Sgt. Daniel Made Monibe

FORT HOOD, Texas -- Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died of an illness Nov. 10 in Killeen, Texas.

Sgt. Daniel Made Monibe, 32, whose home of record is listed as Carrollton, Texas, entered active-duty service in September 2009 as an operating room specialist. He was assigned to Medical Company A, Carl R Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas, since May 2015.

Monibe deployed to South Korea from September 2010 to September 2011.

Monibe's awards and decorations include two Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, two Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon.
