Jr. ROTC Cadet Leadership Course

FORT HOOD, Texas -- Select III Corps and Fort Hood units will host the 2014 Jr. ROTC Cadet Leadership Course June 16-20 here.

The week-long course gives cadets from the local school districts an opportunity to practice leadership skills in an unfamiliar environment and an opportunity to experience living and interacting with their peers from other schools in a military environment.

Leadership course activities include rappelling, obstacle courses, drown proofing, first aid and land navigation.

A media day is planned for 8:30 a.m. June 18 with opportunities for the leadership reaction course, low-rope course, drown-proof training, and selected first-aid tasks.  Media desiring to cover the event should register here.  A public affairs representative will meet the media at the southside parking lot of Marvin Leath Visitors Center at 8 a.m. June 18 for an escort on post.
