Retiree Celebration June 27, 2014

FORT HOOD, Texas - Sixteen Soldiers and one civilian, will be honored at a formal retirement ceremony at 10 a.m. June 27 at III Corps Headquarters, here.

The senior retiree at the ceremony is Maj. James D. McGinn, Carl R. Darnall Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 20 years of service.

Others being honored include:

Maj. Santos H. Arroyo, 5th Brigade, United States Army Cadet Command, Waco, Texas. He will retire after 23 years of service.

Command Sgt. Maj. Edward L. Johnson, First Army Division West, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 30 years of service.

Command Sgt. Maj. Calvin D. White, First Army Division West, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 35 years of Service.

Sgt. Maj. Thomas J. Kenney III, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 29 years of service.

1st Sgt. Joseph D. Wilgeroth, First Army Division West, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 26 years of service.

1st Sgt. Ruben Samarripa, First Army Division West, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire with 26 years of service.

Master Sgt. Eric B. Gehring, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 26 years of service.

Master Sgt. Raymond E. Walker, Warrior Transition Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 27 years of service.

Master Sgt. Winifred L. Lewis, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood, Texas. She will retire after 23 years of service.

Master Sgt.  Donald L. Thomas, 1st Medical Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 24 years of service.

Sergeant 1st Class John J. Gaviria, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 20 years of service.

Sergeant 1st Class Robert L. Rocha, First Army Division West, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 20 years of service.

Sergeant 1st Class Beverley E. Steed, 3d Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas. She will retire after 20 years of service.

Sergeant 1st Class Robert J. Trout, 1st Brigade Combate Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 20 years of service.

Staff Sgt. Jasonica T. Hollowman, 106th Signal Brigade, 7th Signal Command, San Antonio, Texas. She will retire after 26 years of service.

James T. Cooney,  21st Cavalry Brigade (Air Combat), Fort Hood, Texas. He will retire after 40 years of federal service.
