FORT HOOD, Texas - Sgt. Maj. Rosalba Dumont-Carrion, Army Medical Command’s Equal Opportunity sergeant major, was the guest speaker for Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center’s Women’s History Month. Sergeant Major Dumont-Carrion spoke about her personal experiences coping with gender discrimination, sexual harassment and bias during her 20 plus years in the Army, reminding those attending the annual celebration of women that change and acceptance requires self-acceptance and purpose.

Ameenah Johnson, a CRDAMC nurse,  and the Junior Archangels dance troupe provided entertainment for the event. This year’s theme was “Honoring Women Who fight All Forms of Discrimination.”
